54:47-8.Ā Gift or gratuity to commissioner or employee
In case the holder of a license or permit issued pursuant to the provisionsĀ of Title 33 of the Revised Statutes, as amended, or any officer, employee,Ā agent or attorney thereof shall give, offer or promise any gift or gratuity toĀ the commissioner or any deputy, director, or other employee of theĀ commissioner, with intent to induce him to perform improperly or to neglect orĀ omit to perform his duties under this subtitle, such act shall constitute aĀ cause for revocation or suspension of said license or permit by the StateĀ Commissioner of Alcoholic Beverage Control or by any other issuing authority. The commissioner, upon ascertaining that such gift, offer or promise has beenĀ made, may forward to the issuing authority a statement of the facts relevantĀ thereto.
