58:11-72.Ā Inapplicability of act to prior or pending orders, proceedings orĀ actions a.Ā Nothing herein contained shall be held to abate or render invalid any administrative order or proceeding, or suit at law or in equity, which may haveĀ been served, begun or instituted by the department, prior to the date hereof,Ā in accordance with the powers and duties heretofore conferred upon it, but theĀ same shall continue in full force and effect, and be further advanced andĀ prosecuted in the name of the department;Ā nor shall anything in this act beĀ construed to anywise affect the protection afforded any person by section 3 ofĀ this act.
b.Ā Any regulations concerning the licensing of operators promulgated by theĀ department pursuant to P.L. 1938, c. 206 (C. 58:11-18.1 et seq.) shall remainĀ in effect up to 1 year subsequent to the effective date of this act unlessĀ repealed by the department at an earlier date.
