6:1-1.Ā Purpose
The purpose of this chapter is to provide, in the interests of public safetyĀ and of aeronautical progress, for the regulation of aircraft in and over thisĀ state, to require that aircraft operating in and over the state shall conformĀ with respect to design, construction and airworthiness to the standardsĀ prescribed by the United States government with respect to the navigation ofĀ aircraft for civil purposes, subject to its jurisdiction, and to require theĀ licensing of aircraft and airmen.
