6:5-9.Ā Service of process upon nonresident owner of aircraft involved in accident
Civil process in any civil action arising out of a collision or accident inĀ which any aircraft of a nonresident owner, not registered or licensed under theĀ laws of this State, notwithstanding that such aircraft may be validly licensedĀ and registered under the provisions of the laws, rules and regulations of theĀ United States Government, may be served upon such nonresident owner, by serviceĀ upon any operator, owner or pilot, of such or any other aircraft of suchĀ nonresident owner, while such aircraft is being operated in this State by suchĀ operator, owner or pilot.Ā Process in any such action may be also lawfullyĀ served upon any such nonresident owner by service thereof upon any person, overĀ the age of fourteen years, who has the custody of such aircraft, whether heldĀ by him as security or operated or piloted by him, if a copy of such process isĀ also posted in a conspicuous place upon such aircraft.
