12-2-105. Assembly and recording of conveyances.

(a)  It is the duty of the commissioner of finance and administration to collect all deeds to state-owned real property, and record each of the deeds in the county or counties in which the property is located. Thereafter, the commissioner shall transmit to the secretary of state the deeds, and they shall be recorded word for word and indexed in a well-bound book similar in design to the books used by the various county registers. In the event the commissioner is unable to locate any deed to state-owned property, the commissioner shall obtain a certified or photostatic copy of the same, if possible, and file it in such commissioner's office in conformity with the provisions of this section.

(b)  The above procedure shall be followed in connection with any property which the state as lessee has under lease.
