12-3-204. Informal purchases Telephone bids.

The board of standards may grant the director of purchases authority to establish an informal purchasing procedure, including the solicitation of telephone bids, for purchases not exceeding the amount established by the board, the amount not to exceed twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), if the board unanimously agrees upon the amount, or not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000), if the board does not unanimously agree on a higher amount; provided, that purchasing requirements shall not be artificially divided so as to constitute a small purchase under this section.
