12-3-504. Standard specifications preferred Procedure for exceptions.

(a)  The commissioner of general services shall make use of standard specifications whenever practicable.

(b)  Commodities and services purchased without standard specifications shall be made in accordance with policies and criteria established by the board of standards. In addition, the board shall establish policy and criteria to consider as services items which are fabricated by health professionals or allied health professionals where such fabrication requires individual fitting, molding, casting, or the like.
