22-5-315. Postponement of jury service. [Effective in Certain Counties. See the Compiler’s Notes.]

Notwithstanding any of the foregoing provisions, in any county of this state if the circuit or criminal law judge or chancellor holding court in the county finds good cause to postpone the term of jury service for a juror, the judge or chancellor shall notify the juror and the clerk in writing designating an alternate date to which the juror's service is postponed. The juror shall remain under summons to appear on the alternate date without the necessity of the issuance of a new summons.
