37-3-104. Executive director.

The commission shall be administered by an executive director who shall be appointed by the commission. The director shall be a full-time employee of the commission and shall be responsible for the administration of commission policies, rules and guidelines. In appointing such director, preference shall be given to individuals who are qualified by reason of thorough knowledge of programs for the delivery of services for children and youth, by reason of previous employment in the management or delivery of services to children and youth, and by reason of professional training. The director may be removed from office by a majority of commission members.
