41-7-105. Board of control.

(a) The correctional services programs of the institute shall be under the direction of the board of control of the institute.

(b) The board shall consist of the governor or the governor's designee, the commissioner of correction, the chairs of the departments of criminal justice at Tennessee State University and Middle Tennessee State University, an employee of the department of correction appointed by the governor, and two (2) sheriffs appointed by the governor, one (1) from a county with a population of two hundred thousand (200,000) or more and one (1) from a county with a population of less than two hundred thousand (200,000).

(c) All reimbursement for travel expenses shall be in accordance with the provisions of the comprehensive travel regulations as promulgated by the department of finance and administration and approved by the attorney general and reporter.
