44-10-202. Part definitions.

As used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires:

     (1)  “Commissioner” means the commissioner of agriculture or the commissioner's appointed agent;

     (2)  “Livestock” means cattle, equine, swine, sheep, or goats;

     (3)  “Livestock dealer” means any person who buys, receives or assembles livestock for resale, either for that person's own account or that of another person;

     (4)  “Livestock producer” means any person who sells only livestock that that person has raised or that that person has owned and had in possession for a minimum of sixty (60) days; and

     (5)  “Person” means an individual, partnership, corporation, association, or other legal entity.
