49-5-5210. Employment of career level teachers.

Any person who has been duly certified as a career level teacher shall be qualified to teach in any LEA. Any local board of education, upon the director of schools' recommendation, shall have the authority to employ a teacher with a career level certificate. Such a teacher may be employed from within or without the LEA, but may not be employed in place of a certified teacher currently employed by that LEA, a teacher on leave or a teacher on a preferred reemployment list.
