49-6-301. “Elementary schools” and “middle schools” defined.

(a)  “Elementary schools” are schools serving any combination of kindergarten through grade eight (K-8).

(b)  “Middle schools” are elementary schools designed to serve grades five through eight (5-8) only, or any combination of grades five through eight (5-8).
