56-27-115. Purchase of liability insurance authorized.

A medical service plan corporation is authorized to purchase a contract of insurance protecting the corporation or any officer or employee of the corporation, or any physician from liability for injuries resulting from negligence, misfeasance, malfeasance, nonfeasance or malpractice on the part of any officer or employee of the corporation, or on the part of any physician in the course of rendering medical services to beneficiaries.
