57-7-101. Chapter definitions.

As used in this chapter:

     (1)  “Alcohol” means and includes absolute alcohol, and alcohol which conforms to the United States Pharmacopoeia, one hundred ninety (190) proof;

     (2)  “Druggist” means and includes any person engaged in the business of conducting any wholesale or retail drug or chemical store or in the occupation of compounding or dispensing medicine in pursuance to a prescription of physicians, or selling at retail for medicinal purposes any drugs, chemicals, poisons or pharmaceutical preparations under the laws of this state;

     (3)  “Person” imports the singular or plural as the case demands and includes firms and corporations; and

     (4)  “Physician” means and includes only physicians registered in the state under the provisions of the several statutes regulating the practice of their profession.
