The wildlife resources commission shall authorize disabled persons one (1) day each year to hunt in a wildlife resources agency sponsored hunt, and all hunting license requirements for such persons for that day and purpose shall be suspended. For the purposes of this section, disabled persons shall be those people entitled to receive handicapped placards as provided in title 55, chapter 21, part 1.
