§ 10-11-2 Giving of bail bond. – Whoever shall become bail for any person may give bond to the sheriff, if thewrit or process shall be served by the sheriff or his or her deputy; and if thewrit or process shall be served by a town sergeant or constable, the bail bondin such case shall be given to the officer serving the writ or process.
