SECTION 10-12-2

   § 10-12-2  Bond to secure liberty. –The person shall first leave with the sheriff or warden a bond to the creditorwith two (2) or more sufficient sureties, being inhabitants of this state,bound jointly and severally at least in double the sum for which he or she isimprisoned, with condition in form following: That if the above         now a prisoner in thecorrectional institution in         within the county of         at the suit of         shall from henceforthcontinue to be a true prisoner in the custody, guard, and safekeeping of         warden of theinstitution, and in the custody, guard, and safekeeping of         his or her deputyofficers and servants, or, some one of them within the limits of theinstitution and keeping the warden advised of the place of his or her usualresidence and abode therein until he or she shall be lawfully dischargedwithout committing any manner of escape or escapes during the term of his orher restraint, then this obligation shall be void or else shall remain in fullforce and virtue.
