SECTION 11-12-8

§ 11-12-8 Leaving state to fight byappointment. – Every person who shall, by previous appointment or engagement, leave this stateand engage in a fight with another person outside the limits of this stateshall be imprisoned not more than five (5) years or be fined not exceeding fivethousand dollars ($5,000), and may be indicted or charged by information,tried, convicted and sentenced in any county in this state.
