§ 11-18-4 Concealment of birth out ofwedlock. – Every woman who shall conceal the birth of any issue of her body, which, if itwere born alive, would be born out of wedlock, so that it may not be knownwhether it was born dead or alive, or shall conceal the death of any infantchild born of her body out of wedlock, so that it may not be known whether thechild was murdered or not, shall be imprisoned not exceeding ten (10) months orbe fined not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300).
