SECTION 11-18-8

   § 11-18-8  False representations as tocontinuing truth of financial statements. – No person knowing that a statement in writing has been made, respecting thefinancial condition or means or ability to pay, of himself or herself or theperson, firm, or corporation, in which he or she is interested, or for whom heor she is acting, shall represent on a later day, either orally or in writing,that the statement previously made, if then again made on that day, would bethen true, when in fact, that statement if then made would be false, andprocure upon the faith of it, for the benefit either of himself or herself orof the person, firm, or corporation, either or any of the things of benefit asprovided in § 11-18-6.
