SECTION 11-49-2

   § 11-49-2  False statement as to financialcondition or identity. – A person who makes or causes to be made, either directly or indirectly, anyfalse statement as to a material fact in writing, knowing it to be false andwith intent that it be relied on respecting his or her identity or that of anyother person, firm, or corporation or his or her financial condition or that ofany other person, firm, or corporation, for the purpose of procuring theissuance of a credit card, violates this section and is subject to thepenalties set forth in § 11-49-10(a).
