SECTION 11-9.1-11

   § 11-9.1-11  Failure to mark duplicatewarehouse receipt. – A warehouse operator, or any officer, agent, or servant of a warehouseoperator, who issues or aids in issuing a duplicate or additional negotiablereceipt for goods knowing that a former negotiable receipt for the same goodsor any part of them is outstanding and uncanceled, without plainly placing uponthe face of it the word "Duplicate," except in the case of a lost or destroyedreceipt after proceedings as provided for in § 6A-7-601, shall be guiltyof a crime and upon conviction shall be punished for each offense byimprisonment not exceeding five (5) years, or by a fine not exceeding fivethousand dollars ($5,000), or both.
