SECTION 12-15-5

§ 12-15-5 Powers to accept grants andbequests. – The public defender shall have the power to apply for and accept grants andbequests of funds from other states, interstate agencies, and independentauthorities, and private firms, individuals, and foundations, for the purposeof carrying out his or her lawful responsibilities. The funds shall bedeposited with the general treasurer in a restricted receipt accountestablished within the department to permit funds to be expended in accordancewith the provisions of the grant or bequest.
