SECTION 12-6-7

   § 12-6-7  Warrants issued to otherdivisions. – Whenever any judge of the district court, or any justice of the peace, shallissue his or her warrant against any person charged with an offense committedin a division of the district court, and the person so charged shall escapeinto, reside, or be in any other county than the one in which the division is,the judge or justice of the peace may direct his or her warrant to each and allsheriffs, deputy sheriffs, city or town sergeants, and constables within thestate, requiring them to apprehend the person and bring him or her before thedivision of the district court having jurisdiction of the offense, to be dealtwith according to law; the officers shall obey and execute the warrant, and beprotected from obstruction and assault in executing the warrant as in serviceof other process.
