SECTION 12-9-19

   § 12-9-19  Admission to bail. – Unless the offense with which the prisoner is charged is shown to be an offensepunishable by death or life imprisonment under the laws of the state in whichit was committed, a judge in this state may admit the person arrested to bailby bond, with sufficient sureties, and in any sum that the judge deems proper,conditioned for the person's appearance before the judge at a time specified inthe bond, but not later than thirty (30) days after the examination referred toin § 12-9-18, and for his or her surrender, to be arrested upon thewarrant of the governor of this state.
