SECTION 12-9-29

   § 12-9-29  Immunity from civil processarising out of occurrence for which extradited. – A person brought into this state by, or after waiver of, extradition based on acriminal charge shall not be subject to service of personal process in civilactions arising out of the same facts as the criminal proceedings to answerwhich he or she is being or has been returned, until he or she has beenconvicted in the criminal proceeding, or, if acquitted, until he or she has hadreasonable opportunity to return to the state from which he or she wasextradited.
