SECTION 14-1-45

   § 14-1-45  Procedures in adult cases –Sentence. – Except as otherwise specifically provided in this chapter, all provisions ofthis chapter relative to procedure in cases of children, so far as practicable,shall also be construed as applying to cases against adults for offensescommitted against state laws within the purview of this chapter. Upon trial ofthose cases, the court shall have the power to impose the sentence that the lawprovides, suspend the sentence, place on probation, revoke or continuesuspension, or by order impose upon the adult any duty that shall be deemed forthe best interests of the child, and exercise any additional powers over thedefendant that is exercised by the superior court in other criminal cases underthe provisions of chapter 19 of title 12.
