SECTION 15-23.1-314

   § 15-23.1-314  Limited immunity ofpetitioner. – (a) Participation by a petitioner in a proceeding under this chapter before aresponding tribunal, whether in person, by private attorney, or throughservices provided by the support enforcement agency, does not confer personaljurisdiction over the petitioner in another proceeding.

   (b) A petitioner is not amenable to service of civil processwhile physically present in this state to participate in a proceeding underthis chapter.

   (c) The immunity granted by this section does not extend tocivil litigation based on acts unrelated to a proceeding under this chaptercommitted by a party while present in this state to participate in theproceeding.
