SECTION 15-7-13

§ 15-7-13 Consideration of religion ofchild or parents. – For the purposes of placement of a child in adoptive homes under this chapter,a child shall be placed in an adoptive home of any religious faith orpersuasion that may be designated by the natural parent(s) so far aspracticable. In the event that the natural parent(s) waive the right todesignate the religion of his or her child, the right shall become vested inthe governmental child placement agency or the duly licensed child placingagency to be exercised in the best interests of the child.
