SECTION 16-22-9

   § 16-22-9  Uniform testing. – The commissioner of elementary and secondary education shall establish aprogram for uniform achievement testing of pupils in elementary and secondaryschools in the state. Pupils attending public schools shall be administeredtests under the supervision of the state department of elementary and secondaryeducation in accordance with the program. Pupils attending nonpublic elementaryand secondary schools approved in accordance with the provisions of the generaland public laws of the state may, upon request of the nonpublic school, beadministered tests under the supervision of the state department of elementaryand secondary education in accordance with the programs.
