SECTION 16-3.1-5

   § 16-3.1-5  Termination of participation.– (a) Each original agreement shall provide for the disposition, upontermination, of any unencumbered funds, equipment, supplies, and property, realor personal, held pursuant to the agreement. The commissioner of elementary andsecondary education shall resolve any and all disputes among participatingschool districts which the governing body is unable to resolve.

   (b) Any school district that is a party to a cooperativeservice agreement may terminate its obligation at the end of any fiscal year bywritten notice to the commissioner of elementary and secondary education andall other parties, provided that notice is received at least six (6) monthsbefore the start of the state's next ensuing fiscal year.
