SECTION 16-38-5

   § 16-38-5  Questionnaires invading privacy.– It shall be unlawful for any person, persons, or institution, educational orotherwise, to circulate or permit to be circulated in any school in this stateany questionnaire intentionally or unintentionally framed as to ask the pupilsof any school intimate questions about themselves and/or their families,trespassing upon the pupil's constitutional rights and invading the privacy ofthe home, unless the questionnaire has received the approval of the departmentof elementary and secondary education and the local school committee. Anyperson, persons, or institution who is found to be guilty of a violation ofthis section shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars($100) for each offense.
