SECTION 16-59-19

   § 16-59-19  Fiscal accounts – Receipts– Petty cash funds. – The treasurer of the University of Rhode Island, and the treasurer of the RhodeIsland College to be appointed by the board of governors for higher education,shall each keep an accurate account of his or her receipts and expenditureswhich shall be audited by the state controller in accordance with law. Thetreasurer of each college shall turn over to the general treasurer at monthlyintervals all sums of money received by him or her during the preceding monthwhich shall be credited to the proper accounts and funds by the generaltreasurer. The state controller shall establish an imprest fund or petty cashfund for the use of the treasurer of each of the colleges for expenditures ofany nature as may be approved by the state controller.
