   § 17-1-10  Lincoln town officials –Inauguration date. – The voters of the town of Lincoln may vote, at the next regularly scheduledelection to be held on November 7, 2000, on whether to modify the Town HomeRule Charter to change the inauguration date of officials of the town ofLincoln from the first Tuesday of December in even-numbered years to the firstTuesday of January in odd-numbered years to coincide with the inaugurations ofstate officers.
