SECTION 17-12-12.2

   § 17-12-12.2  Failure of ward and citycommittees to endorse. – Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special act to the contrary,in the event that a ward committee or a city committee of a political party ofa particular city has failed or neglected to do so, the executive committee ofthe city committee of that city, any duly selected subcommittee of theexecutive committee or the city chairperson of the political party involved, ifso authorized, within twenty-four (24) weekday hours of the failure, mayendorse and notify the local board of the endorsement, if any, of thecandidates for city council, ward committee member, and mayor, as the case maybe, to be voted on in the primary.
