§ 17-4-5 Time of election of senators.– The election of a senator in congress shall be held on the Tuesday next afterthe first Monday in November, in the year 1958, and on the Tuesday next afterthe first Monday in November in every sixth year thereafter, and on the Tuesdaynext after the first Monday in November in the year 1960, and on the Tuesdaynext after the first Monday in November in every sixth year thereafter.
