SECTION 17-9.1-9.1

   § 17-9.1-9.1  Shut-in voters,serviceperson's dependents, or peace corps registrations. – (a) Shut-in voters. Every person otherwise duly qualified to vote who by reasonof illness or physical or mental disability is unable to register in person atthe office of the local board may register to vote by mail.

   (b) Serviceperson's dependents. Every person otherwise dulyqualified to vote who by reason of being the spouse or dependent child of amember of the armed forces of the United States in active service who isqualified to vote and is absent from this state, and is with the member of thearmed forces and unable to register in person, may register to vote by mail.

   (c) Peace corps registration. Every person otherwise dulyqualified to register to vote who by reason of being a peace corps volunteer asdefined in 22 U.S.C. § 2504, or a peace corps leader as defined in 22U.S.C. § 2505, or the spouse or dependent child of the volunteer orleader, is absent from this state and unable to register in person and desiringto register, may register to vote by mail.
