SECTION 19-5-7

   § 19-5-7  Voting rights. – No person shall be entitled to vote at any meeting who has not been a member ofthe credit union for more than three (3) months, but this restriction shall notapply during the first year of the existence of the credit union, nor shall itapply during the first three (3) months of the second year to any member whowas a member at the end of the first year and who has been a membercontinuously since that time. No member shall have more than one vote, and nomember shall be permitted to vote by proxy, unless expressly authorized by theby-laws or except as otherwise provided in this chapter. Any fraternalorganization, voluntary association, partnership, or corporation holdingmembership may, by duly authorized agent, cast one vote at any meeting, butthat agent shall not be eligible to election as an officer, or as a member ofthe board of directors, credit committee or supervisory committee unless thatagent holds membership, as an individual, in the credit union.
