SECTION 2-13-6

   § 2-13-6  Powers of commission. – There is granted to the commission and the commissioners all powers providedfor in the compact and all the powers necessary or incidental to the carryingout of the compact. All officers of the state of Rhode Island are authorizedand directed to do all things necessary or incidental to the carrying out ofthe compact and it being declared to be the policy of the state of Rhode Islandto perform and carry out the compact and to accomplish the purposes of thecompact and to execute a compact on behalf of the state of Rhode Island withany one or more of the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, NewHampshire, New York and Vermont and with any other states of the United Statesor provinces of the dominion of Canada as may legally join in the compact.
