SECTION 2-16-9

   § 2-16-9  Destruction or return of infectedshipments of plants. – If any plants, or parts or products of plants being shipped to or from anypoint in Rhode Island, whether or not included under the term nursery stock andwhether or not accompanied by a certificate of inspection or shipping permitare found to be infected with any living dangerous insect or any contagiousdisease, the entire shipment is declared to be a public nuisance and is liableto destruction without compensation to the consignor, or may be reshipped tothe consignor at the consignor's expense.
