SECTION 23-1.3-7

   § 23-1.3-7  Federal-state agreements.– (a) In accordance with the provisions of chapter 27 of title 42, the governor,on behalf of this state, is authorized to enter into agreements with thefederal government providing for discontinuance of certain of the federalgovernment's responsibilities with respect to radiation sources and theassumption of those responsibilities by this state.

   (b) Any person who, on the effective date of an agreementunder subsection (a), possesses a license issued by the federal governmentshall be deemed to possess the license pursuant to a license issued under thischapter, which shall expire either ninety (90) days after receipt from theadministrator of a notice of expiration of the license, or on the date ofexpiration specified in the federal license, whichever is earlier.
