SECTION 23-17-43

   § 23-17-43  Charity care requirements.– Any new hospital licensee shall meet the statewide community standard for theprovision of charity care services as a condition of initial and continuedlicensure. That standard shall be consistent with guidelines established by thelegislature in the charters of the existing hospitals in the state which holdcharters from the legislature.
