SECTION 23-19.1-13

   § 23-19.1-13  Employment of experts andconsultants to investigate permit applications. – For the purpose of investigating and hearing any application for a permit orrenewal of a permit required under this chapter, or in connection withproceedings under § 23-19.1-10(e), the director may employ officialstenographers, engineers, chemists, accountants, legal counsel, or experts, andmay designate persons free from bias, prejudice and pecuniary interest in thematter concerned, to examine and testify regarding the matters involved and allcollateral issues at all hearings and in any appeal procedures until a finaldetermination in law has been effected.
