§ 23-19.10-3 Definitions. – For purposes of this chapter:

(1) "Department" means the department of environmentalmanagement.

(2) "Hazardous waste reduction, recycling, and treatmenttechnologies" mean technologies and techniques that have, as their primarypurpose, the reduced generation of hazardous waste, the recycling of hazardouswaste, or the conversion of hazardous waste into a less hazardous form."Hazardous waste reduction, recycling, and treatment technologies" do notinclude solidification or treatment occurring directly in, or on, the land,such as techniques using evaporation, surface impoundments, or land farming.
