§ 23-19.12-8 Permits. – No person or legal entity shall engage in the transportation of regulatedmedical waste unless that person or legal entity has received a permit issuedby the director of the department of environmental management. Exempt from thissection are generators that transport regulated medical waste but are exemptunder § 23-19.12-5 from the requirement of initiating a medical wastetracking form.
