§ 23-22.5-10 Control of surfboardactivities. – The director of the department of environmental management or a persondesignated by him or her and acting in his or her behalf is authorized todesignate certain water areas within the state where surfboarding shall beprohibited and to make any rules and regulations that shall be necessary tocontrol surfing and surfboard activities within the territorial water areas ofthis state. Any person violating any of the rules or regulations made by thedirector of the department of environmental management pursuant to theauthority granted in this section shall, upon conviction, be fined not morethan one hundred dollars ($100) for each offense.
