SECTION 23-24.2-12

   § 23-24.2-12  Advisory committee forflammable fabrics. – (a) The consumer protection unit of the department of attorney general shallappoint a state advisory committee for the Flammable Fabrics Act, composed ofnot less than nine (9) members who are fairly representative of manufacturers,distributors, and the consuming public. Each member appointed by the consumerprotection unit of the department of attorney general shall hold office for notmore than two (2) years, except that any member may be reappointed.

   (b) No compensation shall be given to the members of theadvisory committee for their services.

   (c) The consumer protection unit of the department ofattorney general shall consult with the advisory committee before prescribingflammability standards or other regulations established under this chapter.
