SECTION 23-24.6-26

   § 23-24.6-26  Rules and regulations. –The director is authorized to adopt, modify, or repeal and promulgate rules andregulations as are in accord with the purposes of §§ 23-24.6-1 –23-24.6-27, and shall be subject to the Administrative Procedures Act, chapter35 of title 42. All rules and regulations promulgated by the director shallprovide for the use of "lead safe" reduction as the preferred method wherepossible to meet the requirements of this chapter. The rules shall provide fornotification, pursuant to the provisions of § 23-24.6-12, to occupants ofa premise, of lead hazards following a comprehensive environmental leadinspection at the premises when there is a reasonable likelihood that given theage, type, and condition of the premises that significant lead hazards arepresent in other dwelling units.
