SECTION 23-27.3-105.2

   § 23-27.3-105.2  Change in use andoccupancy. – It is unlawful to make any change in the use or occupancy of any structure orpart of it which would subject it to any provision of this code, including therehabilitation building and fire code for existing buildings and structures,without the approval of the building official and without the issuance of acertificate of occupancy indicating that the structure complies with theprovisions of this code, or the rehabilitation building and fire code forexisting buildings and structures as appropriate, for proposed new use oroccupancy and that the change does not result in any greater hazard to publichealth, safety, and welfare.
